WHAT IS REV IT UP?
MPi's annual REV it UP™ nationwide vehicle inspection competition is designed to test, challenge and identify the best technicians in today's automotive service departments. REV it UP showcases technician's skills, training and attention to detail necessary to provide World Class Inspections. At MPi we believe every customer deserves quality service and care for their vehicles, thus it's important to recognize the best technicians in the automotive industry.
In 2010, MPi launched its annual REV it UP contest with over 6,000 technicians from over 320 participating dealership nationwide. REV it UP has proven to excite and engage Fixed Operations to raise their game, which ultimately makes their customers the real winners.
REV it UP was designed by MPi technician experts. It's a series of four races that test technicians' skills and speed performing vehicle inspections using MPi's state-of-the-art software system, EDGE™. REV it UP is a process of elimination competition with winners from each level progressing onto the next phase of the competition.
Technicians compete for cash prizes, custom trophies and a suite of sponsor provided prizes. MPi has been successful in receiving both national and local media attention. As a REV it UP sponsor you will have direct-access to over 10,000 technicians and 1,000 automotive dealerships nationwide. Being a part of this unique and professional competition reinforces your commitment to ensuring our industry technicians are performing at their highest level of performance and professionalism.
"I really enjoyed being in such good company and in the face of such great competitors. I found that the 'Rev it Up' competition showed me and my co-workers just how much more thorough you can be at doing a multi-point inspection. We all found things that needed attention on the vehicle which others had missed, at every level of the competition. Anything that can teach you something about the profession you have chosen is worthwhile. To have won by less than a minute because both I and the runner-up had only missed a few items on the vehicle shows just how skilled we had all become by the end of the competition, and that's saying a lot. Honing our skills to be more observant and aware of a vehicle's needs will not only benefit us, but in the long run our employers and our customers as well."
